Petra Schirmer is a German author, screenwriter and editor. Even as a child, she felt magically attracted to show business – be it circus, theatre or film – and developed a particular fondness for music and dance from the Arab and Asian regions. At the age of 47, she decided to learn oriental belly dancing, which led her to discover Bollywood – and Shah Rukh Khan!
